Prevention

Preventing families from becoming homeless in the first place with a Shelter Diversion and Rental Assistance program called Roof Over Their Heads (R.O.T.H.)

With more than 40% of Americans a $400 expense away from financial distress, the threat of crisis looms closely for too many families. Preventing families from spiraling into homelessness is an essential part of the Family Promise mission.

PROACTIVE SOLUTIONS

Family Promise of Wayne County recently launched a new diversion program known as R.O.T.H. (Roof Over Their Heads), allowing us to greatly increase the number of families we can assist.  R.O.T.H. helps eligible families by providing funds for a deposit and first month's rent or to keep families from losing their current home or apartment.

The R.O.T.H. funding helps to ensure that families are either moving into or maintaining a stable living environment and allows for the health and safety of our homeless families in Wayne County.
